On a dark October evening
When the wind and leaves cry
I always think where have I been?
And especially who am I?
On a sunny January morning
When the streets and trees are white
I always think where am I going?
And especially who am I?
In spring, when April comes
I always think: what will I become?
And especially who am I?
On a shiny summer day,
When everything is fun
I always think why am I like I am?
And especially who am I?
When my pen is out of ink
And I’m ending my rhyme
I try to understand why I always think?
And especially who am I?
